NBA Rookie of the Year: Keegan Murray, Sacramento Kings

Maybe I’m being a little too reactionary to what I witnessed during the NBA Summer League, but I believe that Keegan Murray will win the NBA’s Rookie of the Year award. He looked dynamic on the offensive end and is a player that will get some good run with the Sacramento Kings from the opening jump.

The Kings need some offensive juice and Murray is a player that could potentially fill that role. I’m not really sure what the long-term projection is for Murray but he seems to have star potential that doesn’t come around very often.

The Kings should be ecstatic with their selection in the 2022 NBA Draft. And if his rookie season goes how I believe it can, the Kings could very well have another budding star on the roster. I project Murray to have a really good season. Along the way, he’ll win the NBA’s Rookie of the Year award.
