NBA Trade Rumors: Jae Crowder’s two preferred landing spots are the Miami Heat and Atlanta Hawks.
Jae Crowder is a player that many expected to be traded over the next few weeks, if not sooner. The Phoenix Suns have made it pretty clear that they’re going to work to find him a new landing spot where he will be happy.
With less than a week before the start of the 2022-23 NBA regular season, Crowder is still away from the team and waiting for a deal to get done.
According to a recent report, Crowder’s two preferred landing spots are the Miami Heat and Atlanta Hawks. Though, that doesn’t mean that’s where he’ll eventually land. At this point, it’s anyone’s guess.
Where will Jae Crowder land?
It’s difficult to predict where Crowder will eventually land. The Heat or Hawks are two teams that make a ton of sense. But there is also a flurry of other teams that realistically could be interested as well. And they may or may not make even more sense.
While the Heat perhaps makes the most sense, it would be difficult for them to make a deal work considering how crowded their cap sheet is at the moment. But Miami could slide Crowder into the power forward position and both parties would surely benefit.
The Hawks could use the veteran presence and depth on the wing and in the frontcourt. Although, I’m not sure if Atlanta is going to fork over what the Suns will be asking for in exchange – which, at the very least, includes a rotation player.
It’ll be interesting to see where Crowder ultimately lands and what type of role he’ll have on his new team. It wouldn’t be surprising if it ended p being the Heat or Hawks. Though, it should be noted that it doesn’t appear any deal is close.
