NBA Bold Prediction: The Charlotte Hornets will be AWFUL

Last season, the Charlotte Hornets were looking to be a legitimate team in the Eastern Conference. The Hornets finished the season with a record of 43-39, finishing 10th in the East. They made the play-in tournament but lost to the Atlanta Hawks. The Hornets improved compared to their previous season but will digress majorly this season.

The Hornets have been looking to be on the up and up, but this season those expectations will change as they will not be nearly as good as fans expect from a team with such a promising star in LaMelo Ball.

The biggest reason for the downfall will be because of the unfortunate actions taken by Miles Bridges, who is now in legal trouble. There’s a good chance he never plays in the NBA again.

Ball is the real deal, but no one else is on the Hornets. Rookie center Mark Williams from Duke may develop into something special, but it will take some time for him to make a big impact. Teams need more than one star to be a great team in the NBA, and the Hornets are without a second star.

Ball will continue to improve and light up the stat sheet, but the rest of the roster will struggle. Players like P.J. Washington, Terry Rozier, Kelly Oubre, and injury-prone Gordon Hayward will be the players that need to step up. Still, they will fall short of expectations leading to a down season for the Hornets.

Charlotte is lottery bound once again. Hornets fans will need to accept a rebuild for the next few years before any success.
