10. Minnesota Timberwolves

The hope is that adding Rudy Gobert will make a huge difference for the Minnesota Timberwolves this season. Though, there’s no guarantee just yet that it will. The defense will likely see an automatic improvement; that’s the least of what will happen with the addition of Gobert.

The big question is whether he will be a fit on the offensive end and if he’ll be able to stay on the court during crunch time. That was Gobert’s issue when he was with the Utah Jazz last season.

9. Phoenix Suns

Despite their turmoil stemming from the offseason, the Phoenix Suns are still immensely talented. Chris Paul, Devin Booker, and Deandre Ayton make up one of the most balanced big threes in the league. And they have one of the best supporting casts too.

I’m not sure if the Suns are going to be a top-two seed this season but they should still be good. And if things fall their way, there’s no question that this team could be a contender in the Western Conference.
