NBA storylines to watch: Can the Los Angeles Lakers regain their magic from 2020?

There are many questions revolving around the Los Angeles Lakers heading into this season but, by far, the biggest one is whether or not this team will be able to return to championship form this season. It was not that long ago that this team won a championship. And the two key players are still on the roster.

The question is if LeBron James and Anthony Davis can remain healthy enough to evolve into the players (and cornerstones) that can lead the Lakers back to the promised land. With a revamped supporting cast, the Lakers hope they can bounce back this season. Though, that may be easier said than done.

The Western Conference is going to prove to be a gauntlet this season. And without a substantial upgrade in the offseason, it remains to be seen how exactly the Lakers are going to drastically improve – aside from the hope that they can be healthy.

The Lakers have big questions to answer, and the spotlight will be on them beginning on opening night.
