Los Angeles Lakers

Ah, the Los Angeles Lakers. This is a team that is bad. Right now, they’re really bad. It’s amazing. I’m not really sure the last time we said that about a LeBron James-led team (not counting last season). Amazingly, Russell Westbrook is still a bad fit for the team and Anthony Davis is already battling injuries.

The supporting cast that was assembled this past summer hasn’t seemed to make a big difference and the team is desperate for some sort of jolt. Quite frankly, I’m not sure where that will come from or if it will even come this season.

The groupthink surrounding this team is that once they make a Westbrook trade, everything will suddenly get better. But I’m not sure there’s a player out there that will do that for the Lakers. Maybe it’s Buddy Hield; maybe it’s Myles Turner? Maybe it’s both Buddy Hield and Myles Turner?

The Lakers are a mess that is spiraling out of control with every subsequent loss. Is there hope for the Lakers; I’m not so sure?
