Anthony Davis’ 3-point shooting

I’m not here to pile on the Los Angeles Lakers. There has already been enough of that through the first week and a half of the season. The Lakers are 0-5 and I’m not really sure when their first win is going to come with the Denver Nuggets on their schedule next. But one of the biggest things that are hurting the Lakers is their lack of shooting.

The Lakers are the worst 3-point shooting team in the league and, specifically, Anthony Davis has been particularly bad. Through four games played, he’s only shooting 18 percent from 3. Part of the Lakers’ shooting woes falls on Davis. If the Lakers are going to be better and bounce back from their slow start to the year, Davis has to be better from the perimeter if he’s going to continue taking those shots.

At the very least, the Lakers’ stars must step up when no one else will. That’s one of the big problems that is facing right now. It’s LeBron James and not much else consistently for the Lakers.
