Los Angeles Lakers
It should be no surprise to see the Los Angeles Lakers on this list. They are 2-6 through the first eight games of the season and don’t have much to lean on at the moment. Is Anthony Davis going to suddenly get some super serum that allows him to remain healthy? Is LeBron James going to find a time machine to get 10 years younger? Is Russell Westbrook going to continue to feast off the bench?
All of that seems super unlikely. If the Lakers are going to snap out of this funk and be a real player in the Western Conference this season, they’re going to need to make a trade that will rejuvenate this roster and one that will shake it up a bit.
The Lakers are one of the worst shooting teams in the league and they need some more consistency on the offensive end of the floor. If they can find that while solving their long-term Westbrook dilemma via trade, perhaps this is a team that could be a dark horse threat in the playoffs.
