Indiana Pacers
If the Indiana Pacers wanted to make a big splash and potentially use this move to add a third or fourth team to finally part ways with Myles Turner and Buddy Hield, John Collins would be in play. And he’d be an interesting addition to the core of Tyrese Haliburton and Bennedict Mathurin.
Collins just turned 25 years old and would fit in with the new build that the Pacers have begun. Even though he isn’t having a great season, per se, he’s certainly a player that has shown the ability and promise to be a star. The big question is whether or not he still has that ability in him.
I think Collins would greatly benefit from a new start. A fresh start or a new landing spot is sometimes what jumpstarts a player’s career. The Pacers could offer him that, especially with the constant expectation surrounding him.
I’m not sure if the Pacers would be interested, but I’d be curious to see what a trio of Mathurin, Haliburton, and Collins can do.
