Detroit Pistons
What to be grateful for: A talented young core
Admittedly, the start of the season hasn’t gone as well as many expected it to go for the Detroit Pistons. This was a team that many believed had the potential to be a dark horse play-in tournament team in the Eastern Conference. As it stands, the Pistons have the worst record in the East.
It’s early and things can certainly change but one thing that the Pistons should be grateful for is their talented young core. In fact, you can make the argument that the Pistons have the most talented young cores (Jaden Ivey, Jalen Duren, Cade Cunningham, Saddiq Bey) in the East.
Even though it appears that the Pistons are another year away from taking a tangible step forward in the East, you can’t help but think that the future is bright for Detroit. They just need to continue to take the necessary steps in stride.
