NBA Trade Rumors: In an attempt to resurrect the Los Angeles Lakers season, we come up with nine trade ideas for the team to explore.

There is reason to believe that the Los Angeles Lakers have begun to figure things out a bit this season. They’re 7-2 in their last nine games and are beginning to show signs of life on the offensive end of the floor (which was one of the team’s biggest issues during the first few weeks of the season).

Russell Westbrook seems to have settled into his new role off the bench and (*knocks on wood*) Anthony Davis has been relatively healthy this season. And he’s embraced being the No. 1 option as of late. If LeBron James can remain healthy, there’s a good chance the Lakers, as currently constructed, will have a shot to make a recovery up the Western Conference standings.

Still, the Lakers are widely expected to make a trade before the deadline and one could come fairly soon. The expectation is that the Lakers will strongly consider making a big deal. Of course, for a trade to happen, it takes two to tangle. That could make things difficult.

Is there a deal out there that could salvage the Los Angeles Lakers season?

The big question for the Lakers is whether there’s a deal out there that would move the needle enough to make it worthwhile.

In an attempt to resurrect the Lakers’ season, let’s explore nine trade ideas that could be considered if they were even remotely a possibility.

(For the sake of this article, let’s assume that every other team mentioned is in the business of retooling their roster as well).
