Lakers trade for Kyle Lowry
Hey! What about a good old-fashioned trading one problem for another type of deal? This is something that two struggling teams, the Los Angeles Lakers and Miami Heat, could explore as we inch closer and closer to the NBA Trade Deadline.
In this deal, the Lakers would get back Kyle Lowry and Duncan Robinson in exchange for Russell Westbrook and one of their future first-round picks. Lowry is a better player at this point in his career compared to Westbrook and Robinson, if nothing else, is still a really good 3-point shooter.
I’m not sure if this is a trade that moves the needle all that much for the Lakers but this is a deal that would solve several issues for the team. If nothing else, this is likely a move that gets them to the playoffs (health-permitting).
