Derrick Jones Jr., Chicago Bulls
One other player that the Chicago Bulls could move is Derrick Jones Jr. He has a player option for next season and there’s no guarantee that he’s going to accept it. He could very well accept it but if he wants a longer-term deal, it also wouldn’t be surprising if he opted out too.
Nevertheless, if the Bulls get to a point where they are trading some of their veteran players, Jones will certainly be a player that could be moved. If, of course, there’s a team out there that is looking for an extra athletic wing.
Jones is an interesting player. Throughout his young career, he’s shown spurts of promise. However, he has never truly broken out since leaving the Miami Heat. He’s a good option to have off the bench and offers a level of athleticism that not many teams have on their roster, but it’s hard to see him being more than a player that adds depth to a team at this point in his career.
