NBA Trade Rumors: There are four teams that have reported interest in Atlanta Hawks forward John Collins.

The Atlanta Hawks are 14-13 and sitting in the sixth seed of the Eastern Conference standings. However, they’re just one game out from being outside the top 10. Their start has been encouraging but this is a team that is clearly still trying to figure itself out.

And that much has been evident by the rumors that have been floating around surrounding this team. And one player that has found his name back in the rumor mill is John Collins.

According to a recent report, the Utah Jazz, Washington Wizards, Brooklyn Nets, and Dallas Mavericks have emerged as teams that are interested in Collins ahead of the NBA Trade Deadline. There has been recent momentum that would suggest the Hawks are finally ready to move on from Collins.

Will the Atlanta Hawks actually trade John Collins at the deadline?

Of course, the big question is whether this is finally the time that the Hawks are going to move Collins. If you remember, there were rumblings that the Hawks were going to move Collins during the offseason. Nothing materialized and the team entered the season with him still on the roster.

However, a few weeks ago, it was reported that the Hawks were once again exploring the option of moving Collins. And those whispers haven’t stopped.

And now that there is a reported market that is growing, you’d have to assume that there’s at least a good shot that the Hawks pull the trigger on moving Collins at the trade deadline.

Collins is currently out with an injury but hasn’t had a great start to the year. He’s averaging 12 points and eight rebounds per game on 48 percent shooting from the field and a career-low 22 percent shooting from 3-point range.

All that said, he’s still just 25 years old and has plenty of talent. The problem with Collins revolves around his contract. But if there’s any team that believes in him, this would be the time to try and trade for him. For as talented as Collins is, his trade value is not necessarily at an all-time high.
