Eric Gordon, Houston Rockets
If the Los Angeles Lakers are looking for shooting, there may not be a better option on the open market than Eric Gordon. But, again, he likely would cost a future first-round pick, and I’m not sure the Lakers would agree on that price tag. The advantage with Gordon is that he’s on a two-year contract without the burden of a guarantee (he has a team option for next season).
Gordon is an ideal fit next to LeBron James and Anthony Davis, and if the Lakers truly believe that they’re some shooting help away from being a real problem in the West, this is a move that begins to make a lot of sense.
This is a move that would be realistic for both the Lakers and Rockets, especially considering that it was recently reported that this may finally be the year that Houston may be willing to part ways with Gordon.
