2023 NBA Mock Draft: Victor Wembanyama will change the landscape of the league

2. Charlotte Hornets – Scoot Henderson, G, G League Ignite

Even though the Charlotte Hornets already appear to be set at the point guard position, Scoot Henderson is likely the player they would select with the No. 2 overall pick. At least for now, he’s the unanimous No. 2 prospect in this draft class.

I’m not really sure how the dynamic between Henderson and Ball would work but I’m also under the impression that you get the talent and worry about the fit later – ask the Golden State Warriors, who elected to draft James Wiseman over LaMelo Ball how selecting fit over talent worked out for them.

And while both Henderson and Ball technically play the same position, they’re two very different players. Ball is a dynamic playmaker and distributor of the basketball and Henderson is more of a score-first guard at the moment.

A lot can change between now and the draft but it seems like Ball and Henderson could theoretically coexist.
