LeBron James will demand a trade (and pick his next team) during the offseason

After two dreadful outcomes of missing the playoffs entirely in back-to-back seasons, I believe that enough will have been enough for LeBron James. Just one year after signing an extension with the Los Angeles Lakers, I predict that LeBron will demand a trade away from the franchise and that he will pick his next team.

This is not the way that LeBron wants to end his career and without a clear path forward toward contention with the Lakers, he will feel the pressure to find a better situation for himself. He won’t do so publically and this will all be done in a professional way in tune with the Lakers’ front office.

This may not come to light initially but when it finally does, this is the type of news that will send shockwaves to the rest of the league. We will see the Kevin Durant shockwaves from this past season times 10.

It may be a bold prediction but does make a ton of sense considering where the Lakers are at this point.
