Bojan Bogdanovic, Detroit Pistons

Even though the Detroit Pistons have been sending out the message that they don’t plan on moving Bojan Bogdanovic, I still think this is more of a negotiating tactic from the team ahead of the deadline and the offseason. It doesn’t make much sense for the Pistons to hold on to Bogdanovic beyond this season.

He doesn’t fit the team’s timeline and the Pistons are not going to be in a position where they could benefit (in the standings) from having a veteran presence on the roster. I think the Pistons are going to continue to build Bogdanovic’s trade value and then sell high on him. Or at least that’s what they should do.

The Pistons will easily be able to get a future first-round pick for Bogdanovic if they trade him at this year’s NBA Trade Deadline or during the offseason. I’d be shocked if they didn’t pull the trigger.
