The Golden State Warriors will (sign and) trade Draymond Green during the offseason
An early playoff exit will force the Warriors to make some big decisions regarding their future in the offseason. And one of the biggest questions that they will have to answer will revolve around Draymond Green. Draymond has a player option for next season but will likely decline it to become a free agent.
He will be seeking a max extension but the Warriors won’t want to offer him that and they will give him the option to seek it elsewhere. It will be an amicable parting of ways and Draymond will be signed and traded to a team that is ready to take the next step with him.
The Warriors already have plenty of money tied up in some of their other core pieces and it’s simply time to part ways with Draymond. The NBA is a business and sometimes hard decisions need to be made. This will be one of them that takes place during the offseason.
