If I told you that at nearly the midway point of the season, the Phoenix Suns and New York Knicks would have the same record, you probably would’ve laughed in my face. Especially with how good the Suns looked after the first month of the season. Nevertheless, the Suns have lost 12 of their last 17 games and are reeling.

If the Suns can’t turn their season around over the next few weeks, it will certainly open the door for a big move at the NBA Trade Deadline. With an aging Chris Paul, the Suns could be looking at a few tough seasons over the next couple of years. If they can’t win this season, it makes you think about what awaits this team during the offseason.

The Suns are in a rut and desperately need to make (possibly) a season-saving move at the NBA Trade Deadline. And if the right target is available, you can bet that the Suns will try to make it happen.

But with all the outside noise that this team is going through, you can’t help but wonder if a big move at the deadline is even possible.
