NBA Trade Rumors: The Chicago Bulls are largely expected to stand pat at the NBA Trade Deadline.

Over the next few weeks, there are many teams around the league that must figure out if they are going to be buyers or sellers at the NBA Trade Deadline. One of the teams that are considered to be in that group is the Chicago Bulls.

While there continues to be much uncertainty around this current build for the Bulls, there are recent rumblings that suggest that perhaps this front office is not entirely ready to throw it all away – or, for the lack of a better phrase, hit the reset button again.

Nearly every rival team is waiting on the Bulls to start another rebuild (and possibly sell on the likes of Zach LaVine and/or DeMar DeRozan) but according to a recent report, the expectation now is that the Bulls will stand pat at the NBA Trade Deadline.

This report is not exactly surprising, considering the amount of talent that this team has on the roster, but it does bring about bigger questions that this front office may have to answer if they don’t make the playoffs this season.

What lies ahead for the Chicago Bulls?

It’s difficult to try and map out what lies ahead for the Bulls beyond this season. This is a team that is built to win now but one that hasn’t had the results in the past season and a half. And this season, it’s been a lot worse than last year. Even though the Bulls have won eight of their last 11 games, they are still just ninth in the Eastern Conference standings.

There’s still a lot of season left and the Bulls could theoretically have an excellent second half of the season and make a run up the East standings. However, with what we know about this team and their recent history, it’s hard to have that level of expectation right now.

And that’s one of the biggest reasons why many expected the Bulls to be active at the trade deadline. At least for now, that doesn’t appear as it’s going to be the case.

It appears that the Bulls are going to stand pat at the deadline. Whether or not that ends up being the right move for this team moving forward remains to be seen.
