NBA Trade Rumors: As the NBA Trade Deadline inches closer and closer, there are reports that the New York Knicks have explored a possible deal for Grayson Allen.

In an attempt to improve the roster ahead of the NBA Trade Deadline, the New York Knicks are one of the teams that are expected to have plenty of options over the next couple of weeks. Whether or not they pull the trigger on a deal remains to be seen, but they are likely to explore multiple scenarios leading up to the deadline.

According to a recent report, one of the options that could present itself ahead of the deadline for the Knicks is Grayson Allen. They’ve been linked to him as a potential target.

Allen is averaging 11 points and 40 percent shooting from 3-point range this season with the Bucks but has recently become a potential deadline candidate as the Bucks look to make a trade ahead of the push toward the playoffs.

What could the Milwaukee Bucks want in return for such a move?

If the Bucks are open to possibly sending Allen to a team like the Knicks, you’d have to wonder what the return could be. On one hand, you look at the Knicks and you almost automatically think of future first-round draft picks.

New York is a team that is not short on future draft picks and one that could potentially send one off for a player that could certainly help the team down the stretch. The big question is whether Allen is that player for the Knicks.

He would add a scoring punch off the bench that the Knicks haven’t consistently had this season but he also comes with his shortcomings on the defensive end of the floor. If nothing else, Allen is another option that the Knicks may end up having the option of trading for.

If a deal were to come to fruition, the second thought I would have is whether this is about Cam Reddish or potential a shooter, such as Evan Fournier. I wouldn’t see why the Bucks would want Fournier unless they truly feel he’d be a final touch for a championship run.

The Knicks are a team to watch over the next couple of weeks. They’re largely expected to make a move and they certainly have the pieces to get one done.
