NBA Trade Rumors: After Kyrie Irving’s sudden trade request, there are at least three teams that are expected to show interest ahead of the trade deadline.

Kyrie Irving has taken over the NBA Trade Deadline. There was already a healthy trade market just days before the deadline but it has completely been overtaken by Kyrie’s sudden trade demand. The Brooklyn Nets are now, for better or worse, back in the limelight.

The question now revolves around which teams will be interested in Kyrie if in fact he doesn’t get moved (or shopped) ahead of the trade deadline.

According to a follow-up report on Kyrie, Shams says that there are three teams that are expected to show interest in the all-star guard ahead of the trade deadline. The Los Angeles Lakers, Dallas Mavericks, and Phoenix Suns are expected to show some level of interest in Kyrie.

How much remains to be seen but at least for now, there seems as if there is going to be some level of a trade market for Kyrie – and that’s not something that was a guarantee just a few months ago.

It should be noted, Kyrie is having an absurdly great season – averaging 27 points, five rebounds, and five assists on 49 percent shooting from the field and 37 percent shooting from 3-point range.

Which team is most likely to go all-in on Kyrie Irving?

There’s a case to be made for every team listed as a potential suitor for Kyrie. They all have their reasons to be interested in a move for Kyrie, even despite the baggage that he would bring with him.

That said, there’s one team that seems like the most likely possible landing spot for Kyrie – and that’s the Lakers. Not much has changed for the team during the offseason. In fact, you can probably argue that they’re in an even worse situation. It’s been proven that this roster isn’t good enough to compete for a championship and something has to change.

Add in LeBron James and the Lakers may just be the ideal team to pursue Kyrie. I’m not really sure how this is all going to play out for the Nets, but if there’s one team that should be willing to take a huge risk with Kyrie it has to be the Lakers.

And I believe that’s how this will all end if the Nets do in fact end up trading Kyrie at the NBA Trade Deadline.
