NBA Trade Rumors: The LA Clippers are reportedly interested in the possibility of trading for Christian Wood and D’Angelo Russell.
Heading into the NBA Trade Deadline, the LA Clippers appear to be one of the more aggressive teams. It’s clear that they’re looking to make an upgrade to the roster and they are watching and monitoring all potential avenues of doing so.
The Clippers are within striking distance in the Western Conference and could be a trade deadline move away from emerging as a true championship threat. Even more so if Kawhi Leonard and Paul George can remain healthy heading into the second half of the season and into the playoffs.
And with the NBA Trade Deadline just a few days away, the Clippers are a team that will be looking to make a big splash in an attempt to take a step forward in the West.
According to a recent report, the Clippers are keeping a close eye on the situations in Houston and Minnesota regarding Christian Wood and D’Angelo Russell, respectively.
The LA Clippers are looking to make a big move at the NBA Trade Deadline
LA is an interesting team to watch. For the most part, they’ve operated under the radar in the West this season. Despite their inconsistencies as a team this season, the Clippers are just three games out of the third seed.
If they get hot during the second half of the season, perhaps after adding a piece at the NBA Trade Deadline, this is a team that could emerge as a dangerous threat to win it all this season. Especially with how wide-open the West has been so far this season.
For the Clippers, this season has always been about health and how they perform in the postseason. At least for now, this is a team that is still trying to round into shape. And making the right move at the NBA Trade Deadline could go a long way in determining whether this team emerges as a contender in the West or not.
I don’t think adding Wood or Russell is a lively move for the Clippers heading into the deadline but it just goes to show just how big the Clippers are thinking with a possible move.
LA is certainly going to try to make a big move. Whether or not they end up making one is something we will find out together.
