Kyle Lowry is traded to the LA Clippers

The LA Clippers have been rumored to be in the market for a point guard and Kyle Lowry is a veteran point guard that they could target (and acquire) relatively easily. In this hypothetical deal, the Clippers would acquire Lowry and a future first-round pick from the Heat in exchange or Luke Kennard, Terrence Mann, and Robert Covington.

The Clippers would get their point guard and be ready to make a true run down the stretch in the Western Conference. Would it be smart to gut their depth for Lowry and a future pick? Who knows but it does accomplish the team’s desire for a point guard.

On the other hand, the Heat would load up on depth and potentially get a productive shooter in Kennard that could spark the team’s lackluster shooting supporting cast. Plus, the Heat would also get Covington who while wouldn’t directly answer the team’s need at the power forward position but he would give the Heat another versatile option on the wing.
