The LA Clippers will add a veteran point guard for the stretch run

In an attempt to spark the team during the second half of the season and into the postseason, the LA Clippers are going to look for a veteran presence in the backcourt. I predict that the Clippers are going to land a veteran point guard, something that the team has reportedly been seeking ahead of the NBA Trade Deadline.

Especially with the Dallas Mavericks making the move for Kyrie Irving, the onus is now on teams such as the Clippers to make a difference-making move at the NBA Trade Deadline. Health aside, if the Clippers are serious about contending for a title this season, they’re still likely a move away.

There are a few veteran point guards that would make sense for the Clippers, such as Kyle Lowry, Mike Conley, and Fred VanVleet. Whether or not they end up landing any of those names remains to be seen, but I firmly believe they are going to get some done over the course of the next few days.
