4. Charlotte Hornets – Jarace Walker, F, Houston

This is the point in the NBA Draft where there could be some drop-off and this is also the point where each front office has to really put in the work for each prospect. But I generally love taking a chance on players with high ceilings that already have a defensive fundamental set in them. And I believe that’s something the Charlotte Hornets could do too.

Realistically speaking, the Hornets are really at the start of an entirely new rebuild. LaMelo Ball is the one piece that is a unanimous building block. Aside from him, it’s really tough to gauge where this team is in its timeline. One player that they could target at No. 4 is Jarace Walker. He’s a sound defensive player with a high ceiling on the other end of the floor.

What you have to love about Walker as a potential prospect is the fact that he’s really come along since the start of the season. He’s a prospect that has gotten better as the season has gone on and could blossom when he gets into a professional developmental setting.
