8. Atlanta Hawks

I think it’s safe to say that the Atlanta Hawks probably thought their season would go a little better as it has so far this season. Even if the Hawks make the playoffs, they are probably making it as a 7th seed. I feel like after the addition of Dejounte Murray, the thought was the Hawks would finish as a top 5 seed in the Eastern Conference. And that’s not going to happen.

This season is likely going to end in another disappointment for the team. And perhaps the team saw the writing on the wall when they decided to move on from head coach Nate McMillan and elected to make some changes to their front office.

Heading into the offseason, this is a team that could be subjected to some big changes. There have been some whispers that some of those changes could revolve around Trae Young. And many times in the NBA, where there is smoke there’s fire.

It’s just something to keep an eye on.
