5. Miami Heat

The Miami Heat has had quite a disappointing season. And it really began during the offseason when the team refused to make any moves to upgrade the roster, or even address the loss of the team’s starting power forward (PJ Tucker leaving for the Philadelphia 76ers). It’s been so bad this season that there’s a sense around the fan base that this team may need somewhat of a soft reset.

I’m not sure what awaits the Heat during the offseason but it’s become quite clear that this team needs to make some changes. Whether or not they will actually do that remains to be seen. The status quo simply isn’t cutting it right now for Miami.

The Heat may still make the playoffs but they’re likely going to have to play their way there (via the Play-In Tournament) and it’s hard to envision this team making much noise even if they get to the postseason.

For as veteran-laden as this team is, that’s not great.
