NBA Mock Draft 5.0: Detroit Pistons create young super team; big-name is traded
15. Atlanta Hawks – Jalen Hood-Schifino, G, Indiana
It’ll be interesting to see if the whispers surrounding Trae Young lead to anything during the offseason. One thing is clear – the Atlanta Hawks are probably a team that is going to be aggressive and be open to any big moves that could be made. I would say that the only complete untouchables for the Hawks have to be Dejounte Murray and Onyeka Okongwu.
One potential selection that the Hawks could make is one for Jalen Hood-Schifino. He has upside as a playmaking guard but there are serious questions about his 3-point shooting. That’s something important that he’ll need to prove in the pre-draft process.
16. Utah Jazz (via Minnesota Timberwolves) – G.G. Jackson, F, South Carolina
With another pick in the first round, look for the Utah Jazz to try and solidify their frontcourt after making an addition to their backcourt. One potential fit at this point in the NBA Draft is G.G. Jackson. He’s an interesting prospect that is coming out of South Carolina. It’s hard to predict exactly what he can be at this point in his development but should be viewed as an interesting option in the middle of the first round.
Jackson, a 6-foot-9 versatile forward, averaged 15 points and six rebounds during his freshman season at South Carolina.
