NBA Mock Draft 5.0: Detroit Pistons create young super team; big-name is traded
19. Brooklyn Nets (via Phoenix Suns) – Rayan Rupert, G, France
It’ll be interesting to see how the Brooklyn Nets approach the offseason. After somewhat blowing up their roster by trading Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving at the NBA Trade Deadline, I’m not sure what to expect from the team at the NBA Draft. But with two projected first-round picks, they can certainly rework their roster here.
Perhaps they could take Rayan Rupert with one of their picks. Rupert is somewhat of a mysterious prospect but has the chance to be a really good player if he reaches his ceiling as a prospect in the NBA.
20. Houston Rockets (via LA Clippers) – Brice Sensabaugh, G, Ohio State
With another opportunity to add another prospect in the first round, the Houston Rockets could take a swing at Brice Sensabaugh. You can make the argument that he’s one of the better shooting prospects in this year’s NBA Draft but also showed promise to be so much more during his freshman season at Ohio State.
Sensabaugh averaged 16 points and five rebounds on 48 percent shooting from the field and 41 percent shooting from 3-point range. He could make a lot of sense for a team that already has plenty of on-ball players.
