Draymond Green – free agent

Draymond Green is another player that could be available this offseason. He is expected to opt out of his current contract with the Golden State Warriors and sign one more big, long-term deal somewhere this offseason. From all indications, Draymond would like it to be with the Warriors but there’s no certainty that will happen this summer.

And because of the Warriors’ loaded cap, it could open the door for Draymond to sign elsewhere this offseason. Much like a possible situation with Kyrie, if the Heat wanted to land Draymond, they’d have to work a sign-and-trade deal with the Warriors.

Draymond would be an ideal fit next to Bam Adebayo and would add value on the defensive end of the floor. The big question about Draymond is whether or not he’s still a good enough player on the offensive end to pay him the max money that he’s likely going to be asking for.

Plus, I’m not sure a Draymond move alone would elevate the Heat to contender status in the East. So while in theory, he would be a great move for Miami, I feel like the idea of it is a lot better than how it would actually play out.
