Keyonte George – Falling

Keyonte George is an interesting guard prospect heading into the 2023 NBA Draft. However, even though he is talented, there are some serious questions about his ability to shoot the ball at a consistent level. It’s something that he has failed to prove that he can do so on a consistent basis. And heading into the NCAA Tournament, with the big platform, that was something to watch for as it pertained to George.

And through the two games played by Baylor, George didn’t have a great showing. He scored a combined 16 points on 3-19 shooting from the field. He continued to show his inability to play consistent offense and you’d have to assume it’s going to play a factor in his pre-draft process. There’s now a chance he could even fall out of the lottery entirely, depending on how he measures up over the next couple of months.

I’m sure there are teams that are very high on George but he has some work to do to prove that he can play efficient basketball. That’s the name of the game now in the NBA.
