Zach LaVine, Chicago Bulls

At this point, you have to feel for the Chicago Bulls. There was a point last season when it seemed like the Bulls were on the rise in the Eastern Conference, but then it all fell apart. Largely because of a mysterious injury to Lonzo Ball, the Bulls are now in a place where you can’t really project what their next 12 months are going to look like. And because of that, it will likely open the door for a complete rebuild. And it could all be prompted by one player, Zach LaVine.

If he wanted, LaVine could ask for a trade and a fresh start. And considering where the Bulls are right now in their process, it wouldn’t be all that surprising. LaVine is a player that many around the league are keeping a close eye on and a player that has emerged as one of the most underrated stars in the league.

If LaVine hit the trade block, there would be a huge market for his services. And if the Bulls got to a point where they admit defeat on this build, they could jump-start their next rebuild with the myriad of future draft picks and young players that they would get in exchange for LaVine.

It’s certainly something that the Bulls will think about this offseason.
