10. New York Knicks (via simulated trade with Dallas Mavericks) – Taylor Hendricks, F, Central Florida

With this simulated trade, the New York Knicks could go many different ways. But I believe that they would like to somewhat replenish their frontcourt with this top-10 pick. One player that has risen up NBA Draft boards of late that could make sense for the Knicks is Taylor Hendricks, a stretch-big out of Central Florida.

Hendricks is coming off a successful and productive freshman season at Central Florida in which he averaged 15 points, seven rebounds, and nearly two blocks per game on 48 percent shooting from the field and 38 percent shooting from 3-point range. Hendricks would not be a center replacement for Mitchell but could develop into the team’s long-term answer at the 4 position.

Hendricks may not be a player that will be injected into the rotation right away for the Knicks but he’s a player that could take over the reins once the team elects to move on from Julius Randle. The Knicks are sitting in a great spot heading into the offseason and could even use this pick or selection to send in a bigger deal for a more established star.
