21. Brooklyn Nets – Kris Murray, F, Iowa
With two selections in the first round, the Brooklyn Nets will have the opportunity to add a couple of quality prospects as they attempt to rebound from the disappointment that was the Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving era.
With a first selection, the Nets could take a chance on Kris Murray, an more experienced prospect with an offensive punch that could help the team right away. There are questions as to whether Murray’s collegiate production will translate to the NBA but he possesses the potential to be a 3-and-D player.
22. Brooklyn Nets (via Phoenix Suns) – Jalen Hood-Schifino, G, Indiana
After taking a shot on a frontcourt player, the Nets could elect to solidify their backcourt. One prospect that should be available at this point in the NBA Draft that may be worthy is Jalen Hood-Schifino. Still a work in progress, JHS had some promising moments during his freshman season at Indiana.
He closed his freshman campaign by averaging 14 points, four rebounds, and four assists on 42 percent shooting from the field and 33 percent shooting from 3-point range. He’ll have to continue to prove that he can be a consistent jump shooter during the pre-draft process to solidify himself as a legit top 20 prospect.
