NBA Trade Rumors: According to a recent report, everything could be on the table for the Atlanta Hawks in terms of reshuffling the roster.

The Atlanta Hawks decided to make a big move for Dejounte Murray last offseason. Fast forward to one year later, and the Hawks are in essentially the same spot. They are in the NBA Play-In Tournament and will be trying to play their way into the playoffs. Their reward is likely an opportunity to be swept by the Milwaukee Bucks or Boston Celtics in the first round of the playoffs.

The team’s inability to improve from last year to this season could likely end up resulting in some potential changes this offseason. Or, at the very least, the conversation of potential change.

And according to a recent report, there don’t appear to be any untouchables on the roster for the Atlanta Hawks heading into the offseason. Heading into the offseason, the front office has the authority to trade any of the players on the roster. After such a “meh” season from Atlanta, that may be something the team has to do this offseason to spark any improvement.

It’s anyone’s guess as to what the Hawks will end up doing this offseason but it’s quickly becoming apparent that this is a roster that needs some retooling. And one potential name to keep an eye on heading into the offseason is Trae Young, who there were whispers about ahead of the NBA Trade Deadline.

Considering the Hawks will have full authority to trade any player on the roster, you can’t rule out Atlanta shopping Young. He’s one of the most dynamic young offensive players in the league and would demand quite the return for the Hawks. And if that’s something the team would be interested in, the Hawks could be tempted to think about making such a move.

But Atlanta’s decisions go well beyond Young. There are many other players on this roster that could be used as bait in an attempt to improve the roster in other avenues. Specifically, John Collins is a player that has often been subjected to trade rumors because of this very possibility.

While it’s impossible to predict what the Hawks will do this offseason, they’re certainly a team to watch heading into what could end up being a chaotic NBA summer.
