6. Anthony Black, Arkansas

Despite somewhat falling short of expectations as a team, Anthony Black truly impressed during his freshman season at Arkansas. With Nick Smith Jr. struggling, Black did a great job of taking over the reins and being a real leader for the Razorbacks. He finished and solid freshman season by averaging 13 points, five rebounds, and four assists per game on 45 percent shooting from the field. At 6-foot-7, Black is an intriguing physical specimen that could be another one of these new-age big playmaking guards.

The best aspect about Black’s game is that he doesn’t have to be the focal point of an offense to see him shine. He’s more than willing to set up his teammates and that makes him one of the prospects that you can see possibly fitting on any team in the league. Heading into the NBA Draft, that matters. Perhaps more than we realize.

Considering he only shot 30 percent from 3-point range at Arkansas, that will have to be something he addresses during the pre-draft process. If he does impress on that front, though, Black is one of these prospects that could sneak into the lottery.
