Cleveland Cavaliers target No. 3: Harrison Barnes, unrestricted
Another target that could be a priority this offseason for the Cleveland Cavaliers is Harrison Barnes. However, much like Josh Hart, I’m not sure how likely it is that the Sacramento Kings would be willing to let Barnes walk. However, in the event that he does test free agency, the Cavs should be extremely interested in a two-way player such as Barnes.
Averaging 15 points and five rebounds on 47 percent shooting from the field and 37 percent shooting from 3-point range, Barnes played a huge factor in the Kings’ success this season. Barnes could join the Cavs and bring a calming veteran presence along with versatility on the wing.
Barnes is just 30 years old even though it seems like he’s been in the league forever. He understands what it takes to win a championship and would automatically add another element on the wing that the Cavs certainly don’t have on their roster at the moment.
If the Cavs are looking for a more versatile option this offseason, Barnes should certainly be on their shortlist. He may not be the defender he was earlier in his career but is still solid on that end of the floor.
