Zach LaVine, Chicago Bulls
The Chicago Bulls are another team to monitor heading into the offseason and if they get to a point where they’d be open to making a big trade, the Houston Rockets should be on the phone asking about Zach LaVine. He’s one of the most underrated two-way stars in the league and could be a huge force for the Rockets as they look to take a step forward in the Western Conference.
And building a package centered around Jalen Green could be enough to get a deal done. If Chicago is ready to punt on this build, Green would give them an exciting young piece that the fanbase can rally around. Considering the team has some big salary cap issues, it wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world to get out from under one of their big contracts. Especially with no guarantee that Lonzo Ball will be back next season.
LaVine would give the Rockets a face of the franchise and, perhaps most important, a direction. LaVine with this young core (sans Green) would help create one of the most interesting teams in the West.
