10. Dallas Mavericks – Taylor Hendricks, F, Central Florida
The Dallas Mavericks are coming off a season to forget. And after missing out on the playoffs entirely after making it to the Western Conference Finals the year before, the Mavs will be in search of a big move this offseason. Starting with the NBA Draft, the Mavs will need to operate as a desperate team. And that could mean the Mavs end up trading this pick. If they do keep it, though, there’s one player at No. 10 that makes the most sense – Taylor Hendricks.
Hendricks is an intriguing forward that could be viewed as a versatile defender and capable enough of an offensive player that he could play a role right away. And he has a high ceiling that would make it worth it in the long run for the Mavs to roll the dice on him in the top 10.
Plus, there’s no question that playing next to Luka Doncic and (hopefully) Kyrie Irving would make a transition to the NBA a whole lot easier for Hendricks. If the Mavs do keep the pick, I have a strong feeling that Hendricks could end up being the selection.
