Did someone say Draymond-light? And when I say light, I mean the Walmart version. He is not quite the defender, not quite the leader, and not quite the culture setter as Draymond but is close but drastically cheaper. If Detroit values its cap space and may want to double dip in free agency, this is a good start.

He would provide a compliment to the backcourt and offer flexibility to the rest of the roster. He can play multiple positions and the villain label could make him the de facto target for animosity.

Unbridled confidence. This feature can make or break a team’s chemistry. I don’t know if the Pistons want to risk it on a firecracker with a short fuse. Was Brooks the driving force for the Grizzlies’ regular season success? It can be debated, but Brooks would say yes.

If you think Kuzma is a streaky shooter, Brooks is on another level. He is either burning hot or more likely than not ice cold. If you are looking for a 3-and-D player, Brooks has the D but the 3 is hit or miss. Being the youngest of the bunch at 27 he can grow with the team and hopefully not tear them down.
