Stephen Curry will be the best player in this series
Coming into this series against the Los Angeles Lakers, Stephen Curry is playing at an extremely high level. And if the Golden State Warriors are going to continue their playoff run, they’re going to need that to be the same over the next few weeks. In the Warriors’ first-round win against the Sacramento Kings, Curry averaged 34 points, five assists, and five rebounds on 49 percent shooting from the field and 38 percent shooting from 3-point range.
Curry’s performance in the series was punctuated by a 50-point performance in Game 7 to close out the Kings. I predict that Steph is going to be the best player in this series and it will ultimately keep the Warriors in this series. When Curry is not playing at a high level, the Warriors are simply a good team. When he’s playing at an MVP level, the Warriors have to potential to be special. No matter who they’re playing.
At least for the Warriors, they can be assured that Steph is going to show up. And that won’t be any different against the Lakers in this series. He’ll prove his worth and once again show that he’s one of the best players in the NBA.
