The longshot: Jett Howard, G/F, Michigan

Another one of my non-lottery favorites to emerge as a really good player at the next level, possibly even to the lengths of being a star player, is Jett Howard. He has great size for a wing that will likely be able to play the shooting guard position of small forward position at the next level. He’s already a great shooter with the capability to be much more on the offensive side of the ball.

Son of Juwan Howard, he has a great pedigree and knows what hard work looks like. If he can continue to develop his offensive game around his good 3-point shooting (he averaged 37 percent from 3 during his freshman season at Michigan), there’s a chance that he could develop into one of the better players to come out of this draft.

At least for me, Howard’s potential to develop into a star will largely depend on where he’s drafted. If he can get to a franchise that is willing to invest in his long-term development, there’s no question he has the raw skill set to be a great player at the next level. And who am I to bet against a Howard?
