NBA Trade Rumors: If the Orlando Magic are ready to move on from Jonathan Isaac, there should be a strong market for the young big.

Jonathan Isaac has had an interesting start to his career. It hasn’t been ideal by any means but at just 25 years old, even despite his injury history, it would be downright premature to give up on Isaac as a prospect. But according to a recent report, it seems as if that’s something the Orlando Magic may end up doing.

And if the Magic does end up coming to the conclusion of trading (or at least shopping) Isaac this offseason, there could be a healthy market. Or at least there should be. Heading into the offseason, if the Magic does explore moving on from Isaac, we explore five teams that should express at least some level of interest.

Utah Jazz

As the Utah Jazz head into year two of the rebuild, Jonathan Isaac is the exact type of gamble that they should be looking to make. Isaac is still young and while he’s through injuries for the past few years of his career (missing two-straight seasons after returning for 11 games this year), the raw talent is still very much present.

There are questions as to whether Isaac will ever reach his ceiling but even if he doesn’t, he’s so talented that he could be worth the time and investment over the next few years. Before his injury at the end of the 2019-20 season, Isaac was enjoying the best season of his career in which he was averaging 12 points, seven rebounds, and two blocks per game on 47 percent shooting from the field.

Even if Isaac just gets to that level, it could be worth it for a team looking for talent like the Jazz.
