NBA Trade Rumors: Five trade packages that could be considered if the Phoenix Suns are ready to move on from Deandre Ayton.

After another disappointing playoff loss for the Phoenix Suns, the expectation is that big moves for the team could be on the horizon. In fact, according to a recent report, there is a chance that Phoenix could end up trading both Deandre Ayton and Chris Paul this offseason.

But for multiple reasons, you’d have to imagine that the Suns will likely have an easier (and more successful) time trading Ayton this summer. If it’s something they truly wanted to do, it’s a task that they could complete.

Assuming that does end up being the case this offseason and that the Suns will at least explore trading Ayton, we explore five potential trade packages that would make sense.

Deandre Ayton trade offers that would seem to make sense

Dallas Mavericks

Heading into the offseason, there may not be another team in the league facing more pressure than the Dallas Mavericks. After acquiring Kyrie Irving at the NBA Trade Deadline and then completely falling out of the top 10 in the Western Conference, the clock is ticking on the front office and their ability to surround Luka Doncic with a championship-contending supporting cast.

Deandre Ayton has already been linked as a possible target for the Mavs and if they’d be willing to take a shot on him, he could be available this offseason. A package of an emerging young player in Josh Green, Reggie Bullock, and a future first-round pick could be enough to get a deal done.

The Mavs would get another “star” next for Luka and Kyrie, and the Suns would retool their roster too.
