3. Should the Golden State Warriors get younger?

The Golden State Warriors have a few young players with great talent. Jordan Poole, Jonathan Kuminga, Moses Moody, and Patrick Baldwin Jr. But only Poole and Moody saw consistent action vs. the Lakers these playoffs. Kuminga is one player who seemed obvious to slot into the rotation, but Kerr elected not to.

Kuminga is also the player who seems most unhappy with his role. According to Shams Charania and Anthony Slater of The Athletic, Kuminga became frustrated with his role, and that’s something he’ll discuss with the Warriors this offseason. This kind of issue with Kuminga, someone who clearly has star potential begs the question; should the Warriors get younger?

While they won a championship with this same core last year, Draymond is 33, Klay is 33 and just came off a horrible series vs the Lakers, and Steph is 35. To get the most out of Curry’s last few years, this core may need some freshening up.

Or maybe not and they run it back with the guys that’ve got it done time and time again. But the last thing they can do is continue letting this young talent rot on the bench.
