29. Indiana Pacers (via Boston Celtics) – Brice Sensabaugh, G, Ohio State
Brice Sensabaugh is probably a prospect that will end up getting selected higher than No. 29 but if he ends up available at this point in the NBA Draft, the Indiana Pacers should not hesitate to make him one of the final picks of the first round.
Sensabaugh had a sensational freshman season in which he averaged 16 points and five rebounds on 48 percent shooting from the field and 41 percent shooting from 3-point range. If he is nothing but a capable 3-point shooter in the NBA, he would be a great asset to have for a rebuilding team like the Pacers.
30. LA Clippers (via Milwaukee Bucks – Trayce Jackson-Davis, F, Indiana
With the final pick of the first round, the LA Clippers add an experience forward in Trayce Jackson-Davis out of Indiana. He’s coming off a senior season in which he averaged 21 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists on 58 percent shooting from the field. However, at 6-foot-9, he leaves many questions about his ability at the next level.
TJD doesn’t have a consistent 3-point shot and that will likely have to change if he’s going to play a meaningful role for a team in the NBA. If he can prove that during his pre-draft workouts, there’s a strong chance he could make his way into being a first-round pick.
