Trade assets: 1. Paul George 2. Kawhi Leonard 3. Norman Powell

For a team that was hoping to win an NBA Championship at some point after acquiring both Kawhi Leonard and Paul George a few offseasons ago, it’s been a tough last couple of years for the LA Clippers. If this team could find a way to get and remain healthy, it could do wonders for their chances in the playoffs. The bright spot of it all is that if the Clippers wanted to hit the reset button, there’s an easy path toward jump-starting a rebuild – thanks to the strong core that the front office has assembled.

At this point in their careers, considering injury history, I’d have to place Paul George ahead of Kawhi Leonard when it comes to trade value on the open market. And I don’t really think many would disagree with that. Kawhi is one of the most unpredictable players in the NBA, probably second to only Kyrie Irving, and his injury history isn’t great.

PG has quietly been one of the bigger consistencies on the Clippers and is still just 33 years old. Norman Powell is a better player than he gets credit for on both ends of the floor and should be considered a good trade asset considering he’s on a very affordable contract for the next three seasons.
