Trade assets: 1. Zach LaVine 2. DeMar DeRozan 3. Patrick Williams

The Chicago Bulls are one of those teams that you can’t really predict their offseason activity or priorities. Obviously, they want to improve the roster and their goal is to win a championship with this core. But that is going to be easier said than done this summer. If they want to tangibly improve the roster, it will likely have to come via trade this offseason. The Bulls have good trade assets, but not truly great ones aside from Zach LaVine.

LaVine is the clear No. 1 trade asset for the Bulls. I don’t believe there’s much arguing with that. He’s one of the most overlooked two-way players in the game and consistently brings it every night. Will he ever be viewed as a legit No. 1 option in the NBA, who knows? But he’s extremely talented and has been equally productive in Chicago.

DeMar DeRozan has had a nice career resurgence in Chicago but because of his age (33 years old) and overall offensive limitations (3-point shooting), he’s somewhat of a limited asset for the Bulls.

Patrick Williams is probably the Bulls’ best young trade asset on the roster and while he’s shown flashes of his long-term potential, he’s certainly a player that is still trying to find his footing in the league.
